Work, work and more work has prevented me from doing a lot. Anyways, I'm working on the main site as I write this. I've made my decision on a CMS system. That system is ModX.

Whoa - it's be a while since I've posted. So there's been stuff going on. Lots of work, hanging out, helping people, more work, hanging out, etc. I'm still alive and kicking. Just started to work on a script that I wrote a couple months ago to "crack" jumbled words. I'm still having the same problem that I had before. The problem is this, if the word is 9 characters long - all characters not being the same - MySQL will time out, but I can run 8 characters in just 144 seconds (I could have sworn I did this in under 30 seconds before). So I give to you the challenge my PHP and MySQL geeks of seeing if you can make this run any faster.

Sorry about that folks - Been busy helping and entertaining friends so I haven't had time to post. Nothing much has really gone on. Went out Friday night to City Streets for St. Patricks day and also to The Black Dog - nothing really to note on that (or radther don't want to note - ha ha). Yesterday while driving home, slide off the road and got stuck in the mud. Those are about the only two things to really talk about.
Oh but I have started on a small PHP script that allows for extra protection on HTML forms, so I should post something about that tonight. |

Ok - So haven't posted since Monday because I have been helping out one of my good friends out with some issues that they are dealing with. Last night I went out to Rack Daddies with Janie, Kelley, Mark, Kevin and Bryce. What I remember: spicy cheese fries, drinking, 1 booze fighter, text messages, 1 phone call and people playing pool. |

Nothing much is going on really. I've been looking for Blogging/News/CMS software that I actaully use and isn't a pain in the ass to modify. Each system has it's plus, but I haven't found the one that's right for my needs. I should write my own, but busy chilling after work and stuff. HAHAHA. My cousins came by for dinner last night, my mom went to the hypnotist yesterday morning to quit smokeing and I really haven't done much. Work today was normal. Nothing big, just had to hunt down a table that stored some extra settings for some stuff - so that took up the last quarter of the day. At least I found it before the end of the day and hopefully I can get what I'm working on by tommorow. Back to chilling, chatting and listening to the music in my head. |

Another good day. Got some stuff done at work. One minor set back happened - but was a quick fix. Got my hair cut finally! It's been since Oct since I had it cut.. Went out for an hour tonight to hang out w/ my old friend Megan. Finally got some negatives that she let me borrow 3 years ago developed the other day. So I'm at home now, chatting it up. |

Nothing much has been going on. Just been chilling, chatting and working. I did find out today that the money market dividends from PayPal are not really what I thought it was monthly. I was thinking oh 4.5% this month! HMPH! Guess will have to be more aggressive with the saving. I just found out that my mom's phone can't email pictures and that my phone can control my mouse if it's right next to it.. Woah.. |

So my project manager called me up and tells me shit's blowing up and I say "Let me fire up my laptop and I'll get what you need and I'll call you back". My boss calls me and give me a speech about how it's not acceptable to stay home from work because of a broken window. I finally get to work after contacting the window people and telling them where to go. I also had to wait for the laundry to finish washing, so I could throw it into the drier. I get there and 5 minutes later get pulled into the bosses office for the same speech. I told him I didn't want to come here while I'm in a bad mood, I didn't want to push that on to my co-workers and I was about to start working from home. He replied with "Oh I don't think you would be affecting anyone around here.". He also said something about how it's not loyal if I wanted to stay home.
So after that, I get to working. Find out that the installation of MySQL on my system is screwed and have to reinstall and fix the other issues with the install. After that, start working on eBay and a ton of work I did Friday wasn't saved. Ok.. Good practice - re-write everything. Then get an email on requests that are top priority and one fix. The high priority stuff wasn't really high priority in my mind.
But I'm off - I'm home - I've had a personal sized pizza and listening to the tunes, so everything is good. |

I wake up, go down stairs noticed someone took the liberty of washing them, but not putting them into the drier. So, I have to re-wash my clothes. Wasn't too happy about that. Then I get out to my car to go to work, sit down and looked over my right shoulder... My passenger rear window was busted out. They took my back pack that had some clothes and some other stuff in it - nothing a major significance. They didn't take my CD's or my pool cue. They also busted into my friend's car and didn't take anything that was in view. Oh well, try to make a good thing of it. Mmm Lemonade! |

So anyways - I ended up going out to the Black Dog for a couple of hours.There was a $5 cover and 2 bands playing. Some ska band and some rock band. They weren't bad. I stayed around to play a couple games of pool and I only had one decent game - but still lost that one. Oh well. I came home and crashed out early. Catching up on sleep.
Today - I went to CompUSA to get a webcam that I thought would work with XP 64-bit edition. I read how Creative supports 64-bit and I pick up the best one they had there. Well I install it.. NO GO! The cheapest version on this line of webcam has 64-bit drivers and I guess there's supposed to be support for my camera this quarter for it (the original time line was saying last year). Of course I wanted to get a Logitech one, but they are not saying anything about 64-bit support at all for their webcams. Hmph.. Oh well, time to go looking for Popsicle sticks. |

So I went out with Kelley last night. We got our eat on at Tony's. I forgot we had one over here - the one I used to go to was off of 35 in S. Forth Worth area. I ordered the Strombolli - which was pretty damned tasty. Oh - I think everywhere needs to have stuffed mushrooms in cream sause, becuase that was the H-bomb. After sitting around for a little bit and chatting, we headed off to the Black Dog. This time there wasn't a cover, but there wasn't many people. I didn't mind that at all. I was listening to the band and engaging in conversation. After that I took my friend home and went over to Marks house and sat around and chatted it up till sometime after 4 AM. The night was good and the only minor bad thing that happened was that one of my shoes got coverd in mud. Oh well.
Tonight - I haven't got a clue on what I'm doing. |

So I didn't post yesterday and thought I would catch you up to speed on what's going on in my little humble life. Yesterday the head programmer quit - guess he got another job - Haven't spoken with him yet about it. Got some stuff done for customers and got to leave 5 minutes early. Came home checked email, clean out my car a little bit, took a shower and chatted with some friends on-line then went out with Kelley (a friend of mine). We went to eat at a Chinese place in Southlake (Golden China - if you never been - you must go!) and then we headed to Rack Daddies and shot some stick. All the table were taken when we got there, so we threw some darts for a while and actually made 'Bulls Eye' twice. I don't think I've ever done that before. Then we got a table about 30 minutes after we got there. I don't remember when I played a game that well in years. I think someone might have the power to do Jedi mind tricks and guided my shots!
Other interesting things did happen other than a good game of pool, like the fight that broke out, which I stayed away from that crap. That fight ended up in the parking lot and girls were getting into from what I was told. I wasn't paying attention much on that - since I was playing pool. One of the guys in the fight tries to haul ass out of there and ended up wrecking into the curb.
A night filled with fun, lots of conversation and some adrenaline rushing events - can't complain there!
Today I worked on stuff. My boss some times likes changing shit up on me - like what I should be working on, but ended up getting a lot of stuff worked on. I did sort of rush out before 5 and forgot turn off my computer. OOPS! Tonight I'm going out - not quite sure what I'm doing yet thou. Too bad it's cold and raining. |

Another day.. Nothing too much went on.. Just a little bit of work. 2 people left early, 1 didn't come in today. It was nice and quiet for the most part. Of course the guy that sits next to me cranked up his music and I could hear it over my headphones, so that kind of pissed me off. Other than that - it's been cold and raining. Rather have stayed home and slept (for the most part =P). |

Nothing really special today happened. We didn't get to squeeze the duck (might have to later on tonight - if you know what I mean). The project manager had to run to the hospital. I didn't really do much. A couple things here and there, had a meeting with a potential client. I have a couple things to do tonight. Oh - I smoked 1/2 a cig when I got home.. The oral fixation habit from smoking took over. Oh! I got a flyer on my door today about loosing weight via ear stappling.. WTF is that? |
